Direct foreign investment refers to the assets and stakes businesses hold within foreign markets. Companies and their employees must stay up-to-date on changes in these economies and attempt to predict the risks involved with doing business abroad. This course pairs you with Central Products’ International Business team as they analyze their direct foreign investments and explore new projects in overseas markets.
When Steven Powers, the CEO of C.A.T. Industries, receives an urgent call from Washington D.C., he can no longer attend some of the meetings planned, so you must take his place alongside C.A.T's Strategy Team to help assess the risk involved with forecasting for the next five years of the company's life.
Learn about the early history of Central Products from Robert and Grace Powers as you are provided an overview of different approaches to the topic of organizational culture. Though mainly dealing with anthropological and psychological approaches, the topic is set within the larger context of the history of management theory.
This course will help you become familiar with the process of conducting a cost benefit analysis, taught by various accounting employees of Central Products. They will also lead you to a better understanding of the allocation process in product costing, as well as how to use the cost volume profit model to determine effects on the company’s operating income.
